Disease Prevention Unit :: Check-up protocol
The protocol depends on your specific check-up program. It could last between 4 hours and 2 days.
After the appointment we will send you a file which will include your demographic data to record and plan for your specific personalised check-up.
You will need to arrive at HCIH for 08.30.
HCIH will provide you with a robe and slippers and a key for a private changing room available for you and your personal items.
You will meet with your coordinating physician for a thorough review of your medical, family and social history. Your physician will then perform a complete physical examination. You and your physician will discuss your scheduled appointments and any additional tests the doctor may deem appropriate based on your evaluation.
You will spend the rest of the day at different testing areas in the hospital. After completing your itinerary, you will meet with your coordinating physician to review and discuss the test results. At that time, your coordinating physician may give you additional recommendations for treatment, care or follow-up. A written report summarising your results will be mailed to you shortly after your final visit.
You will have a breakfast and if required a lunch at HCIH.
If your check-up lasts longer than the allocated time and you need additional specialist’s consultation, HCIH will arrange for you to be put up in a local hotel.
