Our unit of Gynecology offers a comprehensive gynecological care at all ages and with the active participation of the patient. Also specializes in the prevention and early diagnosis of cancers of the ovary, uterus, vagina and cervical.
After 50 years of age, a woman begins to experience many changes within her body. It is important to pay special attention to certain physical and behavioral alterations (mood swings, changes in dreams, decrease in libido, hot flashes, osteoporosis, etc.) that may affect her quality of life. Also, it is important to remember to practice breast and uteral cancer prevention techniques that frequently appear during these elder years.
Follow these simple tests to help with early diagnosis of breast and uteral cancers:
· Annual gynecological revision.
· Cytology and puncture of cysts and lesions.
· Learning regular breast self-exam.
· Mammography and breast ultrasound.
· Genetic studies of familial cancer.
